Senior midfielder Dani Crisp, sophomore midfielder McKenzie Fuller, and sophomore midfielder Carly Spitz are the captains of head coach Taylor Graf’s Muskingum womens lacrosse team for the 2020 spring season.
Crisp is a returning captain and has started in 24 of the 30 games she has played. She ended last season second on the team in goals with 17 and third in points with 20. Crisp also scooped 19 ground balls, secured 29 draw controls, and forced six turnovers.
Fuller started all 16 games for the Lady Muskies last season. She secured 25 ground balls, caused nine turnovers, and scored four goals. Fuller also broke Muskingum’s school record for most draw controls in a single season with 65, which included a career-high 12 draw controls against Waynesburg.
Spitz started all 16 games as well for the Muskingum. She tallied a career-best 16 goals and had a team-high 11 assists. Spitz also snatched 18 ground balls, secured 35 draw controls, and forced seven turnovers. In her first season, Spitz broke the school record for assists in a game with four and assists in a season with 11. Also, she received Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honors for her performances against Wayesnburg and Hiram.
Muskingum starts their season on Saturday, Feb. 22, as the team hosts the Saint Vincent Bearcats at the North Athletic Turf Field at 1 p.m. The Lady Muskies will play the John Carroll Blue Streaks at home to begin conference play on Saturday, March 21, at 1 p.m.
