WMCO Weekend is March 28-30 | In its 12th year, WMCO Weekend promotes and celebrates Muskingum University’s radio station with free events open to the campus and community. We appreciate monetary and non-perishable donations at all events to support our three charities: The American Red Cross, Muskingum County Animal Shelter, and Operation Feed (part of Mid-Ohio Foodbank).

Back by popular demand, WMCO hosts the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s Animal Encounters event in John Glenn Gym on Muskingum’s campus. Enjoy an up-close look at some of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s animal ambassadors! Doors open at 11:40 a.m. Parking is available off of Comin Street at Caldwell and Cambridge Hall parking lots.

Animal Encounters is free and open to the campus and community. As part of WMCO Weekend’s mission, we give back to the community who supports our station. Non-perishable and monetary donations are appreciated at event entry to support our charities: The American Red Cross, Muskingum County Animal Shelter, and Operation Feed (part of Mid-Ohio Foodbank). In the first 11 years of WMCO Weekend, we have raised $4,334 and 2,572 pounds of food.
The most needed food items include: chili with beans, canned fruit (in juice or light syrup), tuna, canned vegetables, canned meat, soup with vegetables, and peanut butter.
