A fan and DJ favorite, Rhett Rhepko, has made his return to the WMCO airwaves.
Over my time as a WMCO DJ, I’ve seen artists Lukas Graham and Bastille reach out and become huge sensations on the Billboard charts. In my opinion, Rhett Repko is next on the list.
This time, his single “I Don’t Wanna Talk to You” is in the studio. Repko was highlighted by our former Music Director, Brie Rhoades, last March. Repko’s then single, Thnx For the Ride, reached number 47 on the college radio charts.
Repko has one goal, “to bring his influences of timeless classics into today’s modern music scene. ‘Music has the ability to deliver raw unfiltered emotions from one person to another.'”
Repko’s website states he is fascinated with George Martin’s production work on The Beatles albums. He also enjoys the chord progression changes in The Beatles later songs.
Tune into WMCO 90.7 to hear music from Rhett Repko! Listen to Something Old, Something New Tuesday and Fridays at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on WMCO.
