The Crumb and Cup Alley Café is under new ownership, now being run by Garrett Chapman, coffee enthusiast.

Chapman, who is from Noble County, welcomed customers to The Crumb and Cup during Muskingum University’s Homecoming weekend (Oct. 29) and is pleased with how things are going.

Owner, Garrett Chapman, can be found at his new establishment, The Crumb and Cup Cafe.

“When the previous owners decided to sell, they gave me first dibs and it turned out pretty well,” said Chapman.

Pat and Judy Mullen, the past owners, helped Chapman get his feet wet with the business.

“They let me come in and work, kind of learn everything, and then if I have any questions I can give them a call,” said Chapman.

After selling another business in June, Chapman was looking for something to do when the previous owners suggested the idea to him.

As far as changes, Chapman’s central focus is on the coffee.

“I love coffee, I mess around with drinks every morning, trying to get new drinks set up. And trying to get in one with the espresso machine,” said Chapman.

Although there aren’t major changes to date, The Crumb and Cup has began a rewards program.

With every two dollars a customer spends, they will get a star. Once a customer has collected 10 stars, they will get two dollars off.

The Crumb and Cup is located at (rear), 68 W Main St. and is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. and can be reached at (740) 826-0299.
