The New Concord Fire Department is offering free smoke detector installation for local residents.
The program is open to any New Concord resident and those living in Union, Westland, Rich Hill, Adams (Guernsey), and Highland townships.
The program requires fire department personnel to install the smoke detectors to ensure they are in proper working order. Residents will receive three detectors through the program.
