A two semi accident sent one driver to Southeastern Med with non-life-threatening injuries.
The New Concord Fire Department responded to the accident at Interstate 70 eastbound mile marker 166 near Norwich at approximately 7:45 p.m. Friday evening.
NCFD was on scene for approximately three hours, with the biggest issue being oil from the trucks. Over 300 pounds of oil dry was put down during clean up.
A1 Towing, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Muskingum County EMA all responded along with NCFD.
The accident temporarily shut down eastbound activity. Traffic began operating at one lane at 10:30 p.m., which opened nearly two and a half hours into the three total hours of NCFD being on the scene. Traffic is being rerouted to the Norwich EB exit at mile marker 164.
Update Sept. 29, 11:54 p.m. NCFD confirms both eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 are open.
