Join WMCO DJs as we wrap up the fall semester with free format shows during Muskingum University’s Finals Week Dec. 4-7.

Finals week shows are our way of celebrating the end of a great semester.

Each show will be one hour long, and DJs will be bringing in their personal music to play.

Some genres to look forward to listening to include country, rock, alternative, and punk.

Morning vehicle accident under investigation

According to New Concord Fire Chief Matthew Hamsher, the New Concord Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident Friday, Dec. 1 at 6:40 a.m.

When arriving to the scene at the intersection of State Route 22/40 and Sundale Road in Norwich, west of New Concord, they found two heavily damaged vehicles.

One driver was pronounced deceased upon arrival and the other driver was transported to a local trauma facility with serious injuries.

The accident remains under investigation and the State Highway Patrol will release names once all notifications to the affected families have been made. The fire department received assisted on the scene by Perry Township Fire Department and Community Ambulance.

The affected section of State Route 22/40 has been reopened to traffic.

The New Concord Fire Department thanks the State Highway Patrol, New Concord Police, the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation for their help and support on the scene.
