The Crumb and Cup Alley Café restaurant in New Concord is now under the new ownership of Pat and Judy Mullen of Duncan Falls. The couple took over the business from previous owners Kelly Shook and Amy Wolfe this week and say they like being in New Concord. Pat Mullen says he and his wife had been looking for a small café or diner for years, and they saw The Crumb and Cup as a good fit. Mullen previously worked at The Wilds for eight years. He says new items have already been added to the menu including an expansion to the breakfast options. Customers can now order sausage, egg, and cheese muffins as well as sausage gravy and biscuits. BLT sandwiches have been added to the lunch menu and a Cordon Bleu Panini is also a new option. Mullen hopes to soon offer homemade pies prepared by his wife, Judy.
“They’re really good,” said Pat Mullen. “She used to make them for everybody at The Wilds, and they didn’t last very long.”
For those interested in checking out the new menu, The Crumb and Cup now operates under new hours. The Café is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m., closed on Sundays.
