A New Concord woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 22 in Westland Township Thursday afternoon. The accident was reported at 2:07 p.m.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Cambridge Post said Keri Nichols, 28, of New Concord failed to yield the right of way from a private driveway when she pulled into the path of James Sylvis of Cambridge.
Nichols was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she later died of injuries. The accident is still being investigated. Alcohol was not a likely cause.
