Travelers and residents may encounter some construction at the Intersection of State Route 83 and U.S. Route 40.
The construction was originally expected to be completed by Friday, September 9, but due to the long weekend they are postponing work until Tuesday, September 7.
The Ohio Department of Transportation and Complete General Construction will be stamping concrete crosswalks at the Intersection of State Route 83 and U.S. Route 40. The majority of the crosswalk work has already been completed.
There will be lane restrictions so the Village of New Concord is encouraging people to plan for alternate travel routes to avoid traffic and delays.
The New Concord Police Department will be on the scene of the construction to help direct traffic.
According to New Concord Village Administrator, Charlotte Colley, they will be working to “ensure smooth passage of school buses” during the construction process.
