Muskingum University football head coach Erik Ieuter is looking to keep the momentum going this weekend for Senior Day against Heidelberg after their 31-14 win over Otterbein.
“We’re going to need to continue to run the ball really well, time of possession was very good against Otterbein, and Heidelberg has an explosive offense so we are going to do our best to keep them off the field,” said Ieuter.
Heidelberg has an explosive offense and despite their loss last week to #4 Mount Union, they were able to rack up 313 total yards of offense.
“They’ve got two of the best wide receivers in the league and one of the best running backs in the league. It’s a great challenge for our defense,” said Ieuter.
Going into last weekend, Ieuter wanted two things to improve, and that was physicality and consistency up front. For this weekend, Ieuter has the same mindset.
“Physicality and we just have to be smart. We can’t give them any cheap penalties or anything like that. We have to play disciplined football,” said Ieuter.
The Muskies are back in action Saturday, Oct. 30 at Zanesville High School as they host Heidelberg.
