WMCO hosted WMCO Weekend March 22-24. The event, in its 11th year, programs free events for the campus and community. WMCO has raised money for the same three local charities since year one: The American Red Cross, Muskingum County Animal Shelter, and Operation Feed – part of Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
One of the events this year was a meet and greet with the New Concord Fire Department Friday, March 23.
- Orbit Media Music Director Brie Rhoades quizes Muskingum students on fire prevention and fire related trivia during the Meet and Greet and Obstacle Course with the New Concord Fire Department.
- The New Concord Fire Department hosted an obstacle course for students wearing full fire gear on the Quad on March 23 as part of WMCO Weekend 2018.
- Muskingum University Students were offered prizes if they could answer trivia questions about fire prevention and fire trivia facts on the Quad from 12 -1 p.m.
- Orbit Media and the New Concord Fire Department take over the Muskingum Univeristy Quad featuring live music from WMCO and emergecy response vehicles.
- Joe Scott interviews New Concord Fire Department Lt. Barkley live on WMCO during the Meet and Greet and Obstacle Course.
- Orbit Media tests students knowledge of fire prevention and reactions during WMCO Weekend 2018 continuing with their theme “Tune in to the Rescue.”
- Muskingum University Students get the oppotunity to try on fire gear and attempt to complete an obstable course on the Muskingum Univeristy Quad.
- WMCO DJ Emily Summers kicks off the first hour of the live broadcast from the Muskingum University Quad for WMCO Weekend’s Meet and Greet with the New Concord Fire Department.
- WMCO Weekend is made possible in part by more than thirty businesses. Donations were given to Operation Feed, The American Red Cross, and the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.
- Stop by the WMCO Weekend Remote Friday, March 29 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The event is held on the Muskingum Quad.
