The New Concord Fire Association will hold its 64th annual Fireman’s Festival on Saturday, July 8 beginning at 11 a.m. The Main Street parade will begin at 1 p.m.
The family entertainment event continues all day at the New Concord Elementary School Park on Main Street with Touch-A-Truck, live music, food, vendors, and a raffle, until the 10 p.m. fireworks.
The chicken/pulled pork dinner for $10 per dinner will begin serving at 4 p.m., winners of the Ruritan poetry contest will be announced at 5:30 p.m., and winning raffle tickets will be drawn beginning at 6 p.m. Live music by American Mojo will begin at 7 p.m.
There will be afternoon local vendors along with homemade ice cream from the Boy Scouts, beverages from the John Glenn High School track team, popcorn and snow cones from 4-H clubs, food trucks, quarter bingo hosted the New Concord Area Arts & Recreation District (NCAARD), and bounce houses for children at $5 per child.
Raffle tickets are $1 each and can be purchased from any member of the New Concord Fire Association, through the New Concord Volunteer Fire Department Venmo account, or at the Festival before 6 p.m.
