Muskingum University is hosting the fifth annual Day of Giving March 14-15.
The Day of Giving doubles as a celebration and a campaign to raise funds for the Muskingum Annual Fund. The event lasts 1837 minutes in honor of Muskingum’s founding year. Director of Alumni Engagement, Dani Crown Jadwin, is the organizer of the event.
“It’s a way to engage alumni and our campus community to help be engaged with Muskingum and share their stories of how Muskingum changed their lives in a way to impact our current Muskies,” said Jadwin.
This year’s Day of Giving Theme is All In. The campus community can visit Muskingum’s Quad from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on March 14 to engage with alumni and current students. There will be free food, magenta kettle corn, games, prize wheels, and giveaways.
“Athletes are all in on the field and course, students are all in in the classroom, alumni are all in for their community,” said Jadwin.
There are five different areas to donate including scholarships and financial aid, athletics, developing multi-cultural men, PLUS Program, and the Muskingum fund scholarship, which is specifically for students who join the Greek community.
The donor goal is 250 total donors. There is no monetary goal.
“It’s all about participation. I would love for it to turn into a community day. A fun free for all on the quad,” said Jadwin.
The Day of Giving on-campus events will be March 14 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Muskingum’s Quad. WMCO is playing music from 11 a.m.-noon.
