Resident review needed for community health assessment

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department is asking residents to review the 2022 Community Health Assessment and provide feedback aimed at improving community health.

The Community Health Assessment (CHA), which is conducted every five years to identify and prioritize health-related needs among county residents, sets an action plan to address those needs and improve the overall health of our community.

Residents can review the report posted online at www.zmchd.org through Aug. 31. Paper copies are also available at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department at 205 N. Seventh Street in Zanesville.

All information from the CHA will be used to generate a Community Health Improvement Plan, which will be reviewed with community partners to create a strategic action plan for addressing the identified health priorities.

Additionally, the health department requests the community to share their thoughts about tobacco in Muskingum County. The survey helps guide them on the work the community would like to see happen.

For more information about the Community Health Needs Assessment process or to obtain paper copies for review, please contact Lakyn Craig at 740-454-9741 extension 304 or email lakync@zmchd.org.
