The Khanna Career Connections Conference was an event held by Muskingum University last year. The event is a chance for students to network with alumni and attend panels preparing them to join the workforce.
The Impact Center organized the conference and announced that it will return for the second annual conference on Sept. 28. The event is presented by alumnus Anuj Khanna and his family.
Anuj Khanna is passionate about encouraging students to take risks and also encouraging students to go out into the world and do great things and I think the conference is a great representation of his passion…” said Executive Director of the Impact Center Molly Dunn. “We are honored that he chose the Impact Center and the Connections Conference to support his passions.”
According to Amy Nestor, director of outreach & operations for the Impact Center, about 125 students and over 25 alumni volunteered and gave presentations.
“We plan on having all new alumni this year come and present and have other different networking opportunities for our students and mainly just improve off of last year and hopefully we’ll have more students attend this year,” said Nestor.
Jacquelyn Vascura, Director of Career Services for the Impact Center, said she sees the connections made by students and alumni still playing a role from last year’s conference.
“So these are not just…go to the conference, meet these people and done. This is a lasting opportunity for our students to connect and network with alumni that can continue to be in their life and be impactful in their future,” said Vascura.
The Impact Center is located in the Quad Center on campus.
