There will be a vacancy on the Village of New Concord Council beginning Jan. 1, 2020. Council member Jennifer Lyle will transition to the role of mayor and will vacate the remainder of her council term.
Those interested in filling the remainder of the term, ending Dec. 31, 2021, should submit a letter of interest to Charlotte Colley, Village Administrator. Applicants must be residents of the Village of New Concord. Letters may also be delivered to Village Hall or submitted electronically at ccolley@newconcord-oh.gov. Submissions need to be delivered by Jan. 10, 2020.
The letter should include information about the applicant, reasons why they would like to serve on Village Council, valid contact information, and other information thought to be helpful during the selection process.
Village Council will hold a special meeting Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss letters of interest, interview applicants, and make a decision on the new council member to fill the remainder of the term.
